Who is Jaydn Rayn?
Jaydn Rayn is an aspiring sports journalist, but more than anything, she wants to change the world in her own unique way that God gave her. She not only has a love for sports, but for politics, and becoming a leader and role model to the younger generation. Here is a glimpse of her journey.
Some of My Favorite Moments.
It was an honor to be able to tour TNT Studios, and get to see the behind the scenes of every show! The first picture is a picture of me sitting at the desk of Inside the NBA on TNT. Pictured on the right is me with “The Starters” now known as “No Dunks.” I loved watching their show every evening, and to have been able to watch them record live, and get to take a picture with them during commercial break was a dream come true!
MY ROLE MODELS
I have been looking up to these women on my t-shirt for as long as I can remember. So I decided to make a t-shirt to display my love for them, specifically black women in sports journalism. I was so blessed to be able to have met Taylor Rooks at North Carolina A&T! It was truly a dream come true to connect with her. Jemele Hill, Sage Steele, Maria Taylor, Cari Champion, and Ros Gold-Onwude are my forever role models. I hope to become a role model for the future young black women in sports journalism.
My Love For Changing the World
I met Rev. Jesse Jackson when I took a school field trip with my black history club to Washington D.C., for the opening day of the NMAAHC. He was very nice and down to earth, just as Kamala Harris was. Meeting Jesse Jackson that day and seeing the sights of D.C. made my desire for politics increase, and I wanted to help change the world in any way that I could. So being able to meet, now Madam Vice President Kamala Harris, was a dream come true. Her journey was so inspiring, and it continues to inspire me.

What I hope to accomplish through this blog?
